Events FAQ

How would you describe your approach? Our philosophy is that each life-transition event is unique. We approach each event with a fresh perspective and a nuanced eye. On your special day, we closely shadow you, anticipating the memorable moments that make your day exceptional.
How will I know if you are the right photographer for me? We are the vendor with which you will have the most interaction before, during and after your event. Therefore, we believe it is imperative that there is a connection between the photographer and client so that you are comfortable throughout the entire process.  
Who will be shooting my event? We treat each event, no matter how big or how small with unrivaled consideration, enthusiasm and attention to detail.   Dan is the principal photographer for all events.
 
I’ve decided to hire you as my photographer. Now what happens? We will provide you with a contract to reserve your event date. Approximately two to three weeks prior to your event, we will schedule a planning meeting to review and confirm the specifics. At this time, we will also determine the appropriate size of the team for your event.
 
Have you shot at my location before? We have shot at many locations in the Tri-State area. If we are unfamiliar with your specific event location, we will do a walkthrough of the site prior to your event to familiarize ourselves with the property, views, indoor/outdoor photo opportunities and lighting.
 
What kind of equipment do you use? We use the latest Nikon professional digital equipment and always bring plenty of backup gear.
 
How much will you shoot during my event?  During your event, we will shoot constantly in high-quality digital raw format, accumulating, on average, more than 200 images an hour.
Will I see all those images? We select and deliver only the best images to you.During our meticulous editing process, each image is individually adjusted for color balance, contrast and exposure. While all of our images are captured in color, any of them can be processed as beautiful black & white photographs as well.
 
When can I expect to see my photos? Your edited proofs will be available online approximately two weeks after your event. We will instruct you on how to view your event photos online in our password-protected web gallery.
 
What will my event package include? Your event package will include a full license to the high-resolution digital files in JPEG format to print for your own personal use as well as an additional set of email size files to share with your friends and family. This complimentary add-on is just one of the many services our studio provides that makes us exceptional.
 
What are your professional associations?   Our studio is a member of the PPA (Professional Photographer of America), WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) and the AIAP (Association of Independent Architectural Photographers). We also have a list of references we can provide to you upon your request.
